History:
The The M36 suspenders belt was introduced in 1936, designed for load bearing to evenly distribute the weight of the soldiers field equipment. Suspenders attached to the loop holes in the cartridge belt with snap hooks, on the front and rear of the belt. The haversack was the attached to the back. The M-1936 were in common use in World War II, and was later replaced by the M- updated 1943 model.

Details:
This is a M36 suspenders belt, a reproduction based on the version used by the US Army during World War 2. It is quality made of cotton canvas, with white stitching, has black coated metal fittings, and is detailed with a LY&MFY CO. makers stamp. Each strap has a metal adjustment buckle, with snap hooks, belt crimps, and features 2x d-rings fasteners in the shoulder section. It is full size wearable, 6x point adjustable, one size fits most.

The front straps show fabric folds on the outside, not the inside, so they may not be 100% historically accurate cosmetically.

Uses:
M36 suspenders were designed to be worn hooked onto a field belt. They make a suitable addition to a uniform set, fancy dress, as a prop or an addition to any militaria collection.
