A bayonet (from French baïonnette) is a knife, sword, or spike-shaped weapon designed to fit in, on, over or underneath the muzzle of a rifle, musket or similar weapon, doubling the weapon as a spear. A bayonet frog is a holster of sorts that holds the sheath of a bayonet, it can be removed from the scabbard or sheath at will. This allows it to be worn on the belt for carrying and ease of access.

This is a German bayonet type 2, a reproduction based on the version used in World War 2. It is quality made construction, made of stiff leather, metal fittings, white stitching, painted black with a shiny finish. Features a hilt strap, left side metal button fastener and belt loop. Fit onto belts of up to 4.5W cm.

Suitable for re-enactments, fancy dress, or addition to any militaria collection.
