German D-Ring Belt Loop - Black Leather
[G_DRing_BL]

Stock Status: In Stock

History:
Military webbing is designed to be light enough to carry the vital things needed in battle and for outdoor survival. A D-ring loop is designed to fit onto a belt, with the opposite end acting as hanger or fastener, usually for quick release. They were issued for general purpose use, but were mainly used with Y-straps for personal carrying one, or no ammunition pouches. They were first manufactured in leather, but a fabric version was made available for units deployed in tropical climates such as the Afrika Korps.

Details:
This is a D-Ring Belt Loop, a reproduction based on the version used in World War 2. It is made of stiff leather, painted black, with a metal D-Ring, and has white stitching. The loop will fit belts up to 4.5 cm wide. These are new from old stock, and have minor surface cracks.

Uses:
D-Ring belt loops are designed to be worn hooked onto a German field belt and Y-Straps. Suitable for re-enactments, or as an addition to any militaria collection.
