Stock Status: In Stock

The People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs (Narodnyy Komissariat Vnutrennikh Del), abbreviated NKVD was a law enforcement agency of the Soviet Union that directly executed the rule of power of the All Union Communist Party. The hammer and sickle were originally a hammer on a plough, with the same meaning (unity of peasants and workers) as the better known hammer and sickle. Not the official symbol until 1922, before which the original hammer and plough insignia was used by the Red Army and the Red Guard on uniforms, medals, caps, etc. Later, the symbol was featured on the flag of the Soviet Union, adopted in 1923 and finalized in the 1924 Soviet Constitution, and flags of the republics of the Soviet Union after 1924.

This is a Soviet Red Star Sleeve Insignia patch, it is embroidered and comes with adhesive film backing, for iron-on purposes.

Sew or iron onto an assortment of clothing or textile, added to a uniform for re-enacting, as props for filmmakers, fancy dress/cosplay or addition to your militaria collection.
