NSDAP - German WW2 Flag - 3x2 ft

Stock Status: In Stock

The symbol has a long history in Europe reaching back to antiquity. In modern times, it was used and primarily associated with the Third Reich and the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP). The swastika was adopted as a symbol of the NSDAP in 1920, and was Their principal symbol. The black-white-red colour scheme is based upon the colours of the flag of the German Empire. It was their official flag throughout the Second World War. Germany was overrun in 1945 by the Soviets from the east and the Allies from the west. The victorious Allies initiated a policy of de-nazification and put the Nazi leadership on trial for war crimes at the Nuremberg Trials.
After the fall of the Third Reich, the flag of Germany was changed to incorporate the black-red-yellow/gold flag of the Weimar Republic. Because of the stigma attached to the symbol, the flag is prohibited in Germany and several other countries, except in cases of scholarly or historical reasons.

This is a screen printed flag, in bold, clear colours, made of 100% woven polyester. It has a double stitched hem around the flag, and a reinforced hem on the hanging side. Comes complete with 2 metal eyelets for hanging.
Great for re-enacting, and as a film or TV prop. Add to your militaria collection as a great display item.
