German Helmet Cover - Splinter Camouflage

M35 helmets were generally issued in the colour that was applicable to the intended unit, however during the course of the fighting variety of methods were used by troops to camouflage their helmets. Cloth covers of various styles and camouflage prints were manufactured, they were designed to fit the basic shape of the helmet, many included loops used to attach foliage. The camouflage differed in design depending on both the season and the terrain. In 1942, Heeres-Splittermuster helmet covers were issued. Only one side of each was printed in splitter pattern; the other side was left white for snow camouflage.

This is a Splinter pattern camouflage helmet cover. It is quality made of rayon fabric, has a durable lining with pull string cord, and attachment loops. Designed to fit the standard M35, but will also fit the M40 and M42 helmets.

Add to your helmet for added protection and camouflage, use during war games, paintball, re-enactments, or a prop for films and TV.
