M35 Helmet Cover - Reversible Plane Tree Pattern

Stock Status: In Stock

M35 helmets were generally issued in the colour that was applicable to the intended unit, however during the course of the fighting variety of methods were used by troops to camouflage their helmets. Cloth covers of various styles and camouflage prints were manufactured, they were designed to fit the basic shape of the helmet. The camouflage differed in design depending on both the season and the terrain. The first helmet covers were introduced to the German armed forces in 1937, the first pattern helmet covers did not include loops for attaching foliage. However in 1942 all helmet covers were manufactured to include these cloth attachments on the front, sides, and rear. Waffen-SS Plane Tree (Platanenmuster) was produced in several variations from 1936 until 1944. It was printed in two tones, optically having the impression of a third, with a black overprint
