History:
The RGD-5 (Ruchnaya Granata Distantsionnaya) English "Distance Hand Grenade" or "Time-delayed Hand Grenade", is a post World War II Soviet anti-personnel fragmentation grenade, designed in the early 1950s. RGD-5 was accepted to service in 1954, and is still in service with many of Russia's former client states and has been supplied to Iraq as well as other Arab nations. This grenade is still manufactured in Russia with copies produced in Bulgaria, China (as the Type 59) and Georgia.

Details:
This is a RGD-5 Soviet hand grenade, dummy replica model based on the Russian variant. Made of wood, with a metal spoon lever, pin and ring. It is realistically detailed with a makers stamp, it is painted tan with a metallic fuse, battle worn look and shiny finish. These have been designed as props, they are completely non-functioning grenades, and do not contain an explosive charge.

Uses:
Military reenacting, as training dummies, props for film makers or photographers, and make an nice addition to any militaria collection as a display item.
